The C Bar C Expo Center in Cloverdale is quickly becoming k n own a s Indiana’s “Premier Equine Facility.” Weekend state and national horse championship events take place nearly every weekend under the five acre under roof facility.
Terre Haute, Indiana natives Carl and Cindy Harlan, daughter Ashley and son Mike, opened the Expo in November of 2011. The Expo Center’s weekends are filled with many different horse show events including, but certainly not limited to, Junior Rodeo’s; Saddlebred, Pony of America’s, International Buckskin World Show; National Pole Bending Championships; American Quarter Horse; and International Barrel Race Association State and National shows. The C Bar C is also home to Amish auctions, Tractor pulls and llama shows. Manager Steve Jackson and his crew work hard at keeping the expo clean and in tip-top shape. Jackson and his crew are also implementing biosecurity protocol that the Indiana State Veterinarian’s office helped them develop. The stalls and wash rack areas will be disinfected with a product called Synbio NT in an effort to assure horse owners we are diligent about them and their animals’ health. Hand sanitation stations will be located around the food and exhibit areas of the facility, also. Most events are free to attend and they usually feature a variety of vendors set up for shopping opportunities.
The C Bar C Expo Center concession stand dishes up great food from its commercial kitchen. Over 50 acres provide two hundred electric campsites and they are members of the Good Sam RV Club that has over one and one-half million members nationwide. Horse Motel accommodations are also available.
